 No matter what number a camper says, this pattern will always end at the number 4. The game is to figure out the pattern - and then you are part of the "In The Know" crowd. Here are some examples of the pattern:
This is a great mind challenge for those campers that have never done it. Similar to Nine Magazines activity, everyone participating in the activity should be helped along to the solution if needed. Leaving one or two campers not knowing the pattern at the end should be avoided. A hint is to tell players to write down what you say, when you say "7 is 5, 5 is 4, 4 is cosmic". If they write down numerals, tell them they need to do it without using any numerals. That is usually enough. | |
